Some of the Easter goodies hunted down!

Thank you to all the friends that helped hide Easter Eggs with the Bunny after the meeting on Thursday evening. Kari had seven little hunters that were able to fill their coffers. One family makes an effort to drive from well outside the area so their children can participate in our holiday programs.

Thank you also to everyone that participated in the VFW Steak Fry sale. The Friends were invited to set up a bake sale alongside the VFW/Lion’s efforts. Kari and Christine manned the table and several members helped bake to make this a successful endeavor. We made $100 which will pay for Santa Bob's visit to the library in December!

In other news, the owner of J&R Military Surplus (Aaron) on Hwy 35, who helped put on the event for the VFW, has invited us to sell baked goods at their location when the Crawford Country K-9 unit comes to visit. Stay tuned for details on dates.

We will also be setting up alongside the Lions outside of J&R for Rummage on the River on Friday May 16th. Baked items, craft items and plant starts are all needed for our sale.

J&R is a community minded business. Please make sure to patronize and promote their establishment. Efforts are underway by a local Boy Scout to set up a permanent emergency outdoor food pantry at their location in addition to the good work they currently do for the area.
