Completing The Puzzle: One Orphan Train Rider's Journey

Please join us as The Friends of the De Soto Public Library feature author, Genevieve Brandt Kirchman, on her journey to find her biological great grandmother. Genevieve’s grandmother was a 4-year-old orphan train rider who left New York City for Wisconsin in 1887. After years of research, and with the help of DNA, she solved the puzzle and was able to identify her biological great grandmother. Learn of the twists and turns that led to this discovery and her eventual book. Question and Answer time will conclude the presentation. This event is free and open to the public.
